May 18, 2011 The Rapture
So Saturday is supposed to be the scheduled date for the Rapture. You know. Where all the righteous get hoovered up to heaven to leave all us sinners behind.
So who’s for sorting out parliament on Sunday and rolling out a properly left wing legislative agenda? No more crapping on about the carbon tax, no more dilly dallying: gay marriage rights, equal pay, Indigenous sovereignty, accessibility, free education, all the things that always seemed to get blocked by douchebag god botherers like Abbott et al?

Unfortunately, we’ll still have to deal with Abbott. (Damn Catholics not believing in the rapture.)

Hmm…surely if you are all believing in the one god and that god’s organised the rapture then it doesn’t matter if you believe that will happen it will? COME ON!!!!!!! I was totally banking on this Jesus-Hoover getting rid of Abbott for me!

That’s christians for you. (Difference being Catholics don’t believe in a literal interpretation of the bible, whereas protestants do. So the protestant/evangelist god bothers will be raptured, which just leaves the catholics and possibly the Lutherans and Anglicans depending on how their denominations interpret the Book of Revelations) Plus other Christians refute that Catholics are Christians at all. Because Catholics believe that belief alone is not enough to ensure your salvation.
Personally, I prefer to read the Book of Revelation as written by Rupert Thomson.
